Zoo Day with Dedushka

Yesterday we had the pleasure of going to the Sacramento Zoo and Funderland with Will's Dad (a.k.a. Dedushka). The weather was so perfect for our fun day with Dedushka! Kate and Maggie enjoyed every minute of it!

Kate has been really into watching the Lion King so we had to see the lions first.

Dedushka was showing Kate how to stand on one leg like a flamingo.

You can really tell that Dedushka loves his granddaughters and they love him very much!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter yesterday! We went to church on Saturday night to avoid any conflicts with Maggie's nap schedule. It was a wonderful service and afterwards the church hosted an Easter egg hunt for all the kids. Kate was very excited for the egg hunt, especially since she got to do the hunt with her friends, Hazel and Zoey.

On Easter Sunday we headed over to my parent's house for Easter dinner and another egg hunt. Kate did a fantastic job finding all 18 eggs that were hidden for her!

Kate was very excited to open up her eggs. Auntie Jess was there to help!

Easter Egg Dying

Yesterday we dyed our Easter eggs and Kate and Will had a wonderful time making a big batch of beautiful eggs. Kate was very patient to let all the eggs sit in the dye long enough to get very bright. They turned out beautifully!

If Kate does a good job of eating her dinner every night then she gets to enjoy a pudding. She always gets such a messy face. Yummy!

Maggie is Crawling!

On March 27, at 7 months, Maggie decided she was ready to crawl! It is more of a scoot but she is super fast. We are having to watch out for her now and Kate is now realizing that Maggie loves to play with all her toys. We are having to make sure everything small is out of Maggie's reach because she will go for it! She is a very determined little girl.
