Loscutoff "Thanksgiving"

Today we celebrated Thanksgiving with Will's dad and his wife, Helene.  We didn't have a formal Thanksgiving meal...we went to an Italian restaurant, but we had wonderful time spending the day with Dedushka and Grammalene.  Maggie kicked off the day as a cowgirl.
Weeks ago Dedushka promised Kate he would come to Davis wearing a pinkalicious pink shirt.  He actually went to the store to buy one just for Kate!  He also came bearing a surprise of specially ordered pinkalicious cookies.  He knows what his Granddaughter loves...PINK and SUGAR!
 I love this picture!
Unfortunately Maggie wasn't feeling too social so she spent the afternoon playing in our backyard while Kate played inside with the grandparents.

I think it is time for me to raise the basketball hoop! :-)
Story time and cuddles with Grammalene.
 I love Maggie's blue eyes...they are gorgeous!

To keep Maggie busy at the restaurant I gave her my iPhone to flip through my pictures.  She is pretty good at scrolling through.

We had a wonderful time with our wonderful family.  We are truly blessed!

Thanksgiving and a few other pictures...

The first two pictures are not from Thanksgiving but I have been meaning to post them.  Kate and Maggie are playing together a lot these days.  Maggie adores her big sister and Kate is really good at playing with her baby sister.  There are occasional sister fights over sharing toys, but that is to be expected!

Kate was playing a game on her digital camera and Maggie was very interested in watching her.
Both girls dressed up and danced to the Pinkalicious sound track.  Such pretty princesses!

THANKSGIVING:

Since Will had to work in the morning, Kate, Maggie and I started off Thanksgiving by heading over to my parent's house for breakfast and to watch the parade. While we were there Kate was given a very special gift from Gramma...her very own stocking!  My Mom has made stockings for each of her grandchildren.  They take years to complete, but they are BEAUTIFUL and so very special!  Kate's stocking is of Santa sunbathing in Maui...so appropriate for Kate!

Maggie was counting all of Gramma's apples while dancing around to music.
Since the weather was so gorgeous we headed to the park with Papa and Gramma.  Kate LOVES having Papa swing her on around and around.

For Thanksgiving dinner we headed to my sister, Sarah's house.  The girls loved playing in cousin Chloe's room.  Maggie quickly found the baby doll and pushed in the stroller all over the house.
Uncle Daniel was playing a song for Chloe on the guitar.
Kate and Maggie playing in Chloe's room.
Gramma playing a song for Kate!

Kid's table!  They are all eating homemade chocolate covered Oreos.  Yum!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving!  We are blessed to have such a wonderful, loving family that lives so close by!

Kate's Preschool Pictures

Kate's preschool has a special photo website that we can scroll through and see what our kids have been up to each month.  I was able to download my favorites and post them on our blog for you to enjoy.  Kate LOVES her preschool and is so excited for the days she gets to go.

Halloween Night: Trick-or-Treating

To keep with tradition, we went trick-or-treating with our bible study.  Our group keeps on growing but the fun never ends!
Kate was thrilled to trick-or-treat with her friends.  She and Hazel lead the group through the neighborhood.

Maggie was sharing a Halloween snack with her friend, Charlotte.  They are only 2 weeks apart in age so they will surely be best of friends! :-)

Halloween Afternoon: Luke's House

On Halloween afternoon we headed to friend, Luke's house for some Halloween activities.  The kids made apple/peanut butter mouths and decorated little pumpkins.  They also spent a lot of time playing outside and finishing with a little costume parade around the neighborhood.  It was a lot of fun!

 Kate's scary apple mouth!

This was Kate's first experience with a baseball bat.  She did a pretty good job swinging at the ball.
For some reason all of the kids were mostly fascinated by scooping up all the leaves in the yard.  They were great little helpers!
Maggie had to try out the baseball bat too.

Getting ready for the costume parade.  Kate was the only girl in the group but she didn't mind.
Getting ready for trick-or-treating.  Maggie's new "thing" is to walk around the house with the bucket on her head.  She thought it would be funny to have it on for the pictures.
 My girls are so cute!!!
