Annual Loscutoff Tahoe Weekend

We just got back from a wonderful, family-filled weekend at our Tahoe cabin.  Every year, around the end of January, we head to Tahoe with the Loscutoff family to celebrate Dedushka's birthday.  We enjoyed 3 beautiful days in the cabin.  The girls were so excited to play in the snow, build snowmen, sled and hang out with family!

By 7:30 the first morning the girls were already bundled up and ready to play in the snow!

The girls love playing games at the cabin.  Maggie especially loves playing dominoes with Dedushka.

Time for more snow play!

Maggie was trying to catch snowflakes on her tongue.

Our little snow angel!

Uncle Walter carved out an awesome sledding hill.  Kate and Maggie spent hours sledding down the hill.

Uncle Walter carried Kate back to the cabin over his shoulders.  I am guessing his back must have been pretty sore the next day. ;-)

Bracelet making with Auntie Robyn.

Uncle Peter recieved a special makeover from Kate.

We had the best snow for building snowmen.  We could literally roll huge balls of snow to build a family of 4 snowmen.

Yummy snow!

On Saturday morning we woke up to the trees and roads covered in snow.  It truly was a winter wonderland and a beautiful setting for a family walk!

Yummy icicles!

Hanging out on top of a huge rock with Dadddy.

Snowball fight!

More sledding!  Woo hoo!

Maggie would get on her sled and push it down the hill all by herself.  She refused any offered help.  Despite even getting scratched on her chin by some ice she kept going and going and going...

We celebrated Dedushka's birthday with some choclate cake and beautiful Russian singing.

We love you Dedushka!

Time to blow out the candles.

The next morning Dedushka let the girls have some birthday cake for breakfast...the best!

Sunday was our last day to sled before heading home.  Even Auntie Robyn gave sledding a try.

Great times, great fun and great company!  Can't wait till next year!
