Thanksgiving

This has been a wonderful Thanksgiving week. It started off with an early Thanksgiving lunch on Tuesday with Will's mom. Next we had some family over Tuesday night for another Thanksgiving meal. We celebrated on Tuesday since Will had to work Thanksgiving night.

Last night Kate and I headed to my sister's house for a yummy feast with my family. It was a great evening! Below are some pictures from yesterday.

Kate loves to wrap up her stuffed animals like a baby. Yesterday Elmo was the lucky stuffed animal.

Kate didn't want to eat any of the meal except for my dinner rolls. Instead she enjoyed carrot chunks, grapes, and mac 'n cheese. Kate quickly discovered Chloe's baby doll and stroller. Kate loved looking at the cat.

Counting pum-pum-pums!!! Gramma bought all the grandkids chocolate advent calenders and ornaments. Kate wasn't too sure what to make of the advent calender so she stood on it. I hope she didn't crush the chocolate! As always, Kate asked to sit in her booster seat while she played with one of Chloe's toys.
Kate borrowed one of Chloe's princess dresses. So cute!
Kate and Chloe were dancing together....it was so cute!

Our Kate

Below are some pictures from this past week. The first one is leftover from Tahoe. Kate was modeling my knit hat. She looks so cute!
Kate's new favorite thing is to play in her old car seat. She loves climbing in it and being strapped in. She also loves to put her stuffed animals and dolls in the car seat. She asks me to strap them in too.

I asked Kate to smile and this was the face I got.
Yesterday was Zoey's first birthday party. All the girls were having fun playing with Zoey's grandma, Joan.
Zoey was very excited to open her gifts.
Kate quickly found Zoey's new doll and loved wrapping her up in a blanket. All the girls were very fascinated by Zoey's new toys. They played for hours!
Zoey enjoyed eating her giraffe birthday Kate. She ate quite a bit and made a nice mess.

Tahoe...again

We just got back from a wonderful weekend in Tahoe with my parents. The weather was a bit chilly, but clear and beautiful with 2 inches of snow on the ground. Below are some pictures from the past few days.

Kate had a blast kicking her ball outside the cabin. She has quite a good kick!
Kate was a little unsure of the snow. She didn't mind walking in it but she refused to touch it.
Family picture...it was a little nerve racking taking this picture since there was fresh bear poop just a few feet away!
Kate loves her Papa and Gramma!

Kate's 15 month check-up

Today we had the pleasure of going to the doctor's for Kate's 15 month check-up. It started out a bit rough since both she and I came down with cold-like symptoms this morning. She fussed her way through getting weighed and measured, which was pretty typical. We had to wait around for about 30 minutes for the doctor to take a look at Kate. While we were waiting, Kate decided to go #2 twice! It was a fussy and long appointment but at least she now has had her flu shot and a clean bill of health!

Weight: 25lbs, 11 oz (just below the 90%)
Height: 31.25" (75%)
Head circumference: Not sure about the number but she is above the 90%...big brains!

To sum it up Kate has gained almost 2 pounds and grown almost 2 inches in three months. That is pretty impressive!

Finger Painting Fun!

The other day we had Kate do her first finger painting. She was a bit hesitant at first, but she decided it was quite fun getting all dirty. She used her hands, feet, and diaper to create a beautiful masterpiece. Thankfully the paint was washable so she was pretty clean after a long bath.

The final product!

Halloween Night

Kate had a very fun Halloween! She dressed up as Tinkerbell and went trick-or-treating with all of her friends. All of Kate's friends dressed up in really cute costumes too. From left: Zoey as a fairy, Hazel as a cow, Kate as Tinkerbell and Abby as a giraffe Zoey really liked Hazel's cow costume. Abby wanted to check out Kate's wings. After all of the pictures... Ready for trick-or-treating...Kate was very excited to go! She lead the way most of the time, stomping up to all the doors fearlessly. We stopped at about 6 houses in our friend's neighborhood in Woodland. Surprisingly Kate didn't even seem to notice the candy going into her pail...she was just so excited to hold it like a purse.
Kate probably could have trick-or-treated all night long. She had so much fun!
