Wonderful Christmas Day

Christmas morning started early with Kate coming downstairs at 5:50 and she tried to go back to sleep but ended up deciding to stay awake by 6:20.  Unfortunately she had to wait for Maggie to wake up before she could open any presents.  Maggie woke up around 7:00 and was ready to get the present-opening started.

Present time!!!

Maggie received a new Princess Jasmine costume.

Kate received a lot of books this year including an Amelia Badelia book set and Roald Dahl book set.

Around 10:30 Gramma, Papa, Uncle Daniel, Auntie Jess and Baby Mckenna came over for brunch and more presents.

Mckenna wanted to try out Kate's lightsaber.

Daddy received an X-Wing Lego set from Gramma and Papa.

Kate made Gramma a very special calendar.

Maggie spent all day playing with her Peek-A-Boo kitty and Jasmine costume,

Maggie even played peek-a-boo with Mckenna.

The girls gave me Twister for Christmas so we played numerous times throughout day. Tons of fun!

It is a tradition in our house to bake and decorate a special Jesus birthday cake for Christmas dinner.  This year I made a chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting...yummy!  The girls helped me decorate the cake with peanut butter M&M's.

For Christmas dinner we headed to Gramma and Papa's house.  We opened up more presents and the girls both received Superhero Barbie's.

Even Grandma and Grandpa Elliott joined in on the present exchange.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!

We are so grateful to live close to Grandpa & Grandma and Gramma & Papa.  We love you!
It truly was a wonderful Christmas!  We are so blessed to have two amazing girls that are healthy and happy.  We are so blessed to have a warm and wonderful home to celebrate the holidays in.  We are so blessed to have so much love in our family!  We are looking forward to a new year filled with more fun adventures!

Getting Ready for Santa

On Christmas Eve the girls helped get ready for Santa. First they frosted and decorated a whole plate of cookies.  The best part of decorating was sampling the frosting.

Yep, not poisonous!

Kate had to take a quick cookie snack break while decorating.

 Too tempting...
After the cookies were complete, the girls made arrows all throughout the house to guide Santa upstairs.  They placed a note under their little Christmas tree asking him to leave presents under the small tree (which he did leave one present, each).  Then the arrows directed Santa to Maggie's room for cookies and milk and then over to Kate's room for a special gift Kate made him.

The girls got to open up one present from us on Christmas Ever which were matching pajamas for themselves and their dolls.
Time to sleep since morning will be Christmas!

Loscutoff Christmas

On Saturday we celebrated Christmas with the Loscutoff's.  We were thrilled to have Walter and Robyn join us this year, all the way from Florida, however Peter and Megan were not able to join us.

As always, the girls are especially excited for presents!
Maggie received her very own American Girl doll, Maryellen.

Kate was thrilled to receive more accessories for her American Girl doll, Julie.

Maggie loves Maryellen!

Kate received a salon and spa set for Julie so she can pretend to wash and style her hair and paint her nails.

We love our time with Dedushka and Grammalene!

Family picture
And a goofy one, of course!

On Sunday we got the girls dressed up for our Agee Christmas gathering.  We had to snap a few pictures of our beautiful girls before we left and they insisted on including their dolls in the pictures.

 And another goofy picture...love it!

Kate's Mouse Nutcracker Performance

Kate just spent a whirlwind of 3 weeks preparing and performing in the City of Davis Children's Nutcracker.  This show is a City tradition with over 220 kids performing each December.  Performers range in age from 6-12.  Kate was excited for her first Nutcracker experience and was thrilled to be cast as a mouse.  This past week was extra crazy with rehearsals Monday and Tuesday night and then 6 shows in 5 days.  Bedtime was late, backstage prep was long and the week was very stressful.  The show was darling but I am thinking our Nutcracker experience will not be a yearly affair.

Will's Birthday

Will's celebrated his birthday on Monday.  We were blessed with a long date (due to school) in which we went out to breakfast and enjoyed a beautiful walk.  Once the girls were home from school we enjoyed a delicious cookies 'n cream ice cream cake and lots of presents.  We love you so incredibly much, Daddy!!!!

Kate gave Will a model kit of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.  Thankfully the model did not require painting or glue, just snapping, so the girls were so excited to help Daddy build his spaceship.
Maggie enjoyed playing with Chewbacca and Han Solo while Kate and Daddy built.

 We have beautiful girls!
