Double Decker Bus Field Trip

This past Wednesday Maggie's preschool class took a field trip on a double-decker bus.  The class boarded an old (and very bumpy) double-decker bus at the UC Davis terminal and traveled on a 20 minute bus route loop.  The kids loved being taller than the trees!  We even passed a few of the kid's homes in which their families were outside waving to us.  It was a very fun and exciting trip!

My group of girls I got to chaperon were Maggie's friends Reese and Caitlin.

Blond-hair beauties!

"Say Cheese!"
16 kids in Maggie's class, along with the college student bus drivers.

After the bus tour was done, the kids got to let off steam and run around at the UC Davis campus.

Pictures from this past week

We have been having a lot of really warm weather recently, intermixed with rain, wind and cloudiness.  On the hot days, the girls have been braving the chilly pool and going for a swim.  We never thought the pool would get so much use in April!  We are absolutely loving it!

On Saturday, I treated the girls to clown cones at Baskin Robins, which were Sarah's and my favorite childhood treat.

Maggie has found a passion for making up magic shows while wearing my old tutu.  She looks so adorable twirling around in my tutu while making her stuffed animals disappear (hiding them behind chairs).

Kate participated in her fourth Madrigal workshop this Sunday.  The local high school choir (Madrigals) hosts these workshops as a fundraiser for their program.  The workshops are about 3 hours long in which they teach kids songs and then end with a performance on stage.  This workshop was all music from the movie, Frozen.  Kate enjoyed it but she told me it was too easy...she prefers kid's choir better where new songs are taught.

A few new pictures...

Sorry for the lack of new posts.  We are super busy these days with piano, gymnastics, dance and school that I rarely have a chance to take pictures or sit at the computer.

Here are a few pictures for this past week, though.  The girls wanted to dress up as twins and Maggie insisted on taking a sister picture for the occasion.

Kate lost her top-middle tooth on Saturday morning at 3:30!  It has been super wiggly for weeks and weeks and it decided to fall out on it's own while we were all sleeping.   Thankfully Kate did not swallow her tooth so the tooth fairy was able to come the following night.  I am still trying to get used to her new toothless smile.  :-)
