Snow Drop: 1 of 4 video clips

Kate and Maggie just wrapped up a play with the Davis Arts Center: Youth Theater program.  The play was Snow Drop, similar to the well-known Snow White story.  Kate and Maggie played snotty, bratty sisters that eventually become Snow Drop's stepsisters.  Both girls did a phenomenal job acting their part.  Though the production itself wasn't exactly "professional" or even seamless, the girls did great and they had fun while doing it.  I am thankful for these wonderful programs we have in our town that provide opportunities for them to gain confidence and skills on stage.

Our 5th Annual Dance Recital

We just wrapped up our 5th annual dance recital.  Kate's tap class did an AMAZING tap routine to the Imagine Dragon's song "Whatever It Takes."  They were by far, the most exciting dance to watch.  Maggie's ballet class danced to the Phil Collins song "Two Worlds", which is a song from the Disney Tarzan movie.  They were dancing as forest fairies.  The videos I have posted below are from their dress rehearsal.  Both girls made a few mistakes during their dress rehearsal, but perfected those mistakes in their real performances.  I am so proud of all their hard work!

Kate's Third Grade Music Concert

Kate's 3rd grade class put on a musical concert last night about the different biomes in our world.  Kate sang in a trio for "Beautiful Briny Sea."  All the kids were dressed up for their prairie days unit in school.

Maggie's First Grade Concert

All 3 first grade classes at North Davis Elementary put on a music concert last week.  The theme of the music was "famous parables" in which Maggie had to help tell the story of the tortoise and the hare.

Loscutoff Family Pictures

While we were all together for the weekend (see post below), we decided it was the perfect time to take family pictures since we are so rarely all together in one place at one time.

4th Annual Loscutoff Family Reunion

We just got back from our 4th annual Loscutoff family reunion to the California coast. This year we found a beach house in Rio Del Mar (a.k.a Aptos).  This year was the first time we were all able to be together.  Walter, Robyn and baby Isaac flew all the way from Orlando, Florida to join us.  It was a wonderful time together!

Our first night sunset from the rooftop deck.

Loving the view!

Isaac has the cutest chubby cheeks!

Beach time!

Uncle Bill and Aunt Carol generously let Kate and Maggie borrow some wet suits.  They were priceless to have in the chilly ocean!

Cousin Geoffrey (16 months old) loved exploring the ocean too.

Watermelon was the perfect snack after beach time!

The 3rd floor view from the beach house was incredible!  It was an entire wall of glass that overlooked the ocean...amazing!

On one of our walks around the area, we came across these two snakes, enjoying their time together.

On our second day, we took the kids to a local park with a really cool slide.  This slide was incredibly fast and a bit scary!

Even Dedushka was brave enough to give it a try!

After the park we hit the beach one more time.

For dinner we headed to Shadowbrook.  The trolley down was a fun experience!

Kate was thrilled to order such a fancy strawberry lemonade.

Kate really wanted to hold Geofferey, but he was starting to reach his bedtime and wasn't too thrilled with the idea.  Kate loved it, though.

We dressed up for dinner so it was the perfect excuse to capture another family picture!

A silly family picture was a must!

Our last sunset on our last night was gorgeous!

We ended our time together playing games.  The girls kicked butt at Blokus!

Until next year...
