Rattle-a-go-go

The other day Kate had a lot of fun hitting the rattle on her play gym.

Bedtime Story

Kate loves to read books. The other night Will read her "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and "Good Night Teddy" before bedtime.

Sunday's Best

Kate was quite a hit at church today. She wore a dress her Great Auntie Lois gave her and everyone thought she looked so cute. I had to take a picture in her outfit before she soiled it. Say "cheese"!

Milestones

Kate turns 3 months today! She has grown and matured so much in such a short time. Here is a picture of Kate showing off her chubby arms and new slippers.

In the past 2 weeks, Kate has learned how to bring her fist up to her mouth. Sometimes she even can get both fists to her mouth at the same time. Now we just need the thumb to pop out. Yum!

Kate has recently learned to take naps in her crib. This has been an on going challenge since she usually prefers to sleep in our arms or bouncy seat during the day. It is not always successful putting her in her crib, but she is getting better!

In the past week, Kate has learned how to grab Mr. Froggy out of my hand. She can successfully grab her toy and bring it to her mouth. Once in her mouth, Kate acts repulsed by the texture, but she still likes to give it a lick

Kate just learned that her playmat is not a torture toy. She used to get really mad if I placed her on her back, but now she loves to look at the musical star up above. She smiles and giggles when I turn the music and lights on. She even can swing her arms around to hit the rattles hanging above.

Happy 3 months beautiful baby!

All Smiles

Kate LOVES being in her bouncy seat. She always gives me the biggest smiles when playing in her seat. I would be pretty happy too if I got to relax in a vibrating seat that played music and had a lighted waterfall.

Welcome Baby Abby!

On Saturday our friends, Case and Courntee, had a beautiful baby girl named Abby. She was 6 lbs 2 ounces and 18.5 inches long. Just like Kate she was breeched so she was born via c-section. Our entire bible study went to visit them in the hospital on Sunday (all 8 of us). I couldn't believe how tiny she was. Kate looked enormous compared to her! Congratulations to the new parents!

Videos of Kate

My sister posted 2 adorable videos of Kate talking on her blog. Check them out at: seekingchristtogether.blogspot.com

All Sprawled Out

Last night Kate fell fast asleep on my lap after a feeding. We put her down to bed at 8:30 and she slept for 9 hours! I had to wake her up at 5:30am to feed, but she kept her eyes closed the entire time. She is now averaging between 7 to 8.5 hours a night. It is so wonderful getting a full nights sleep! I hope this isn't a phase.

Bath Time!

Kate loves to take a bath. When she first enters the warm water she is not quite sure about what is going on, but she quickly warms up to the idea. Bath time is Will and Kate's special time. I am usually a spectator who helps out with drying her off in the end.

Our Cutie Pie

Kate really enjoys spending time with her daddy. Will loves every minute of it!

We quickly learned that Kate is not a big fan of walks. We tired the stroller several times but she would start to scream about 5 minutes into our walk. Now we use the Bjorn which seems to work a little better. Originally Kate enjoyed facing inward while we walked, but now she enjoys facing out so she can see all the sights. Will and I love to go on long walks, but we have had to shorten them to quick, 20 minute treks around the pond in our neighborhood. We are lucky if we make it home before she has a meltdown.

Milk Dreams

Watching the Game

On Saturday we watched Cal lose to USC (30 to 3), but Kate seemed to enjoy every minute of it. She couldn't take her eyes off the game.
