Dolphin Dash

Kate's elementary school hosts an annual run called the Dolphin Dash.  This was our first year participating and we had a ton of fun!  Maggie and I ran/walked in the 1/4 mile event while Will and Kate ran in the 1 mile event.

"
Let's do this!"

Will and Kate did an AMAZING job running the mile!  They smoked most of the competition and arrived in the top 15% of runners!  We were so proud of them!

After running the girls enjoyed bouncing in the bounce house.

And getting their arm/face painted.

Kate got a peace sign for her American Girl doll, Julie.

They finished off the morning going down the huge bounce slide.

We plan on participating in this annual event for another 7 years! It was a very fun (and healthy) way to support the North Davis Dolphins!

Maggie's Half-Birthday Celebration

February 23rd marked Maggie's half birthday so we celebrated in school since her real birthday is in the summer.  Maggie was super excited for this special day since it meant birthday cupcakes, a class gift and Mommy helping in the class all day.

Maggie's name was listed on the "UCNS Celebrates" banner at the entrance of school.

Maggie loved showing me all the cool things she does during her outdoor playtime, including this balance board.

I made Maggie a special chalk cupcake drawing while we were playing outside.

Maggie got to wear a special crown for the day.  Ms. Lois and Ms. Margie also gifted Maggie with this adorable angel bear.  Maggie named her new bear "Fly-ee".

One of Maggie's favorite songs is called "Slippery Fish" and so in honor of this song, I made "slippery fish" cupcakes for her class.

Yummy cupcakes!

At the very end of her school day, Maggie got to present her sharing can.  Ms. Lois helped her read off the clues and then her classmates guessed what was inside.

Maggie had placed a little bear (from her Bouncy Bear class, last year) inside the sharing can.

Such a special day for such a special, amazing Maggie! 6 months from now she will be 5 years old and starting kindergarten!  Crazy!
