Camp Gramma: Six Flags

Yesterday was the very last day for Camp Gramma 2012.  We went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom with cousin Chloe.  The girls had so much fun riding the rides and watching the elephant show.  It was a long and tiring day, but it was worth it!  Kate is already asking about Camp Gramma 2013!

 

Kate and Maggie were so excited to ride in Gramma's car for our special field trip.  They both had to  bring their baby dolls.

Maggie didn't fall asleep until 2pm, but at least she was able to sleep in her stroller for 1.5 hours!  It was a wonderful break for Mommy! :-)

 Certainly the highlight of our trip was the elephant show.  Gramma, Chloe and Kate got to sit in the front to see the action up close.  It was pretty amazing to see how agile the elephant was despite it's size.

 The girls LOVED spinning me on the hot air balloon ride.  They were both laughing hysterically.

 Thanks for a great trip, Gramma!  We love you so much!

Apple Hill

Every fall we try to make it up to Apple Hill (located near Placerville) and we always stop at High Hill Ranch for apples, pony rides and fun.  The weather was gorgeous and the girls were very well behaved!  Kate was thrilled for the pony ride, especially since she got to ride on Lumpkin (her pony from last year).  We also enjoyed a beautiful hay ride and a peaceful picnic lunch.  It was a great trip!

Gymnastics

Both girls started gymnastics this week through the City of Davis.  As predicted, they both LOVE it!  The trampoline is always one of the biggest hits!  Maggie has no fear of anything so she is climbing all over everything and making me very nervous.  Thankfully almost all the equipment is heavily padded!

Kate's Preschool!

We now have a preschooler!  Kate started preschool at the end of August and she is loving it!  Kate attends University Covenant Nursery School, located at our church.  She is in school from Tuesday-Thursday, 9:00am-noon, with her teachers Ms. Kim and Ms. Beth.   There are a total of 14 kids in her class.  Kate's favorite school activity is painting!  Mommy and Maggie are still trying to figure out how to fill our time while Kate is in school.  Sometimes we run errands or take naps....it all depends on the morning, but it is certainly quieter and much more boring when Kate is gone. 

 Kate's preschool held a Welcome Back picnic last week.  All the families gathered on the school grounds with their blankets and dinner.  After dinner was done, the kids were set free to roam around and play.  Both Kate and Maggie had a wonderful time!
