Kate and Maggie's Dance Recital

We just completed an exhausting (but fun) weekend of our third annual dance recital.  This was Maggie's very first experience and she did an AMAZING job as a beautiful ballerina!  Kate was a total pro and performed a flawless tap dance.  The girls had a ton of fun performing!  We will certainly be back next year!

Maggie was a beautiful flower.

Kate was a Hawaiian girl from Lilo and Stitch

Kate has been tapping with Miss Virginia, Sophie and Milena for 3 years.

Sadly, this will be Miss Virginia's last year teaching Kate since she will be headed off to school in the fall.  Hopefully Kate's new teacher will be just as much fun!

Maggie's ballet class was a combination of 2 classes together, totaling 11 girls.

We were treated to a lot of family and teachers coming to see the girls perform.
We were thrilled to have great-grandma come!

Gramma and Papa too!

An especially huge treat was having Kate's teacher, Ms. Huser, come.  She gave both Kate and Maggie flowers and stuffed animals for their performance.  She truly is an amazing teacher!!!
Maggie's preschool teachers, Ms. Lois and Ms. Margie also came but they slipped away before we could get a picture with them.

Uncle Peter and Autie Megan came too!

I am so proud of how Maggie handled her first performance.  She was confident and so beautiful on stage.

I am so proud of Kate's performance!  She has improved immensely over they past 3 years and her dance moves are flawless, precises and always a joy to watch!

 Until next year....

Cousin Anna's Wedding

On Saturday we headed over to Sausalito to my cousin Anna's wedding.  The wedding was held at the Clipper Yacht Harbor, which is owned by the groom's family.  The weather and setting was gorgeous!  The girls got all dressed up in their matching, sparkly dresses for the occasion.

The ceremony site was picture-perfect and sunny.

Congratulations Anna and K.C.!

After the ceremony, the girls explored the harbor in search of shells.

Rarely do Will and I get a picture together and rarely does the picture turn out so good!  Thanks Cousin Laura for being our photographer. :-)

 Oh so chic, Kate!

Will danced his heart out with the girls.  They loved spinning and twirling with Daddy!

It was a beautiful wedding and a fun time!

Kate's School Birthday

Exactly 2 months before Kate's 7th birthday, she got to celebrate her summer birthday at school.  This included a special birthday crown, yummy cupcakes and the whole class singing her a silly version of "Happy Birthday."  Kate was super delighted to have all the attention on her.

The very next day, Kate and I dressed up as twins for her class field trip to the Northstar pond.  We walked about 3 miles, to and from school to look for baby geese and to admire the surrounding nature.

Muffins with Mommy

Today was a very special  Mother's Day in Maggie's preschool class.  Each year the school holds their annual "Muffins with Mommy" in which mom's are celebrated and treated to gifts, songs and muffins.  It is a very special tradition and experience that I will never forget!

If you click on this picture you might be able to see the answers Maggie responded to in my special card.

Maggie served me my muffin and water.  It was excellent service!

All the kids sang us a wonderful Mommy song.

I love you so very very much, my Maggie-Pie!!!!
