This past weekend we went to our cabin in South Lake Tahoe with my parents. Our drive to the cabin was probably the most terrifying experience Will and I have been through together. Despite watching the warnings from the weatherman, we decided to drive to Tahoe Friday night during a big snow storm. We figured it wouldn't be too bad since it is only November...well, we were very wrong. We were in white-out conditions with cars fish-tailing in front of us. We could barely see the road since the snow was so thick. We even started to sing "Amazing Grace" as we drove to help calm our nerves. Thankfully, by God's grace, we made it safely to the cabin. Our best decision of the evening was paying a man $30 to put on our snow chains. He completed the task in 2 minutes! Kate was a true champion and slept through the whole thing for 3.5 hours. Once we were at the cabin we had a very nice weekend. Will stayed for only 1 night and went home early with my Dad to work on his continuing education units while Kate and I stayed at the cabin until Monday with my mom. It was a very refreshing weekend...just what the doctor ordered.
Kate enjoyed hanging out with her daddy in her Bumbo after our long drive.
Mmmmm, we love to munch on our links!
