Camp Gramma: Tilden Park

Camp Gramma has officially begun!  My mom has been hosting Camp Gramma for her grandchildren for many years now and this year is Kate's first year to join in on the fun.  She and cousin Chloe are having their own special "girly" Camp Gramma based on God's creation. (The older boys are having their own Camp Gramma based on robotics.)  My mom has special activities, crafts and field trips that focus on each year's theme that is based on scripture from the Bible.  So far Kate has learned some really fun songs, painted a cat figurine, colored animal pictures and recently went on a field trip to Tilden Park in Berkeley.  Maggie and I got to tag along for the field trip and had a wonderful time at the animal farm, carousel and little train.  Below are pictures from our trip.

My mom created matching t-shirts for the girl's to wear during Camp Gramma.
Feeding celery to a very hungry cow.  The cow was very large and Kate needed a little help from Gramma to reach his mouth.

Kate's favorite part of the farm was feeding the goats.

The weather and scenery was beautiful!

 Happy Maggie!

Kate spent the entire train ride holding her ears since we sat right by the train engine and the whistle was very loud!
Chloe and Kate went on a second train ride and road in the caboose and enjoyed the quiet from the train whistle.  It was a very fun day.  The girls were so well behaved and they had such a wonderful time with Gramma!
