The past few days have been very wet and rainy so we brought our little slide inside the house so the girls can play. They do a pretty good job taking turns but occasionally there are some pushes and frustrating sequels coming from the girls.
Sister hugs...so sweet!
We have also been building forts to pass the time. We use our dining room table, sofa and sofa cushions for our structure. Even Maggie has a lot of fun playing inside the fort!
This past Sunday morning greeted us with buckets and buckets of rain. Half of our backyard was completely underwater. We braved the wet weather and headed to church. Once service was over we were pleasantly surprised to see the sunshine and blue sky. We jumped on the opportunity to go cut down our Christmas tree. It was certainly muddy but the weather was perfect!
Here we are posing in front of the tree we picked.
Maggie was more excited about the leftover pumpkins.
Kate was more excited about the popcorn.
Will did an excellent job cutting down our tree in no time!
Reindeer rocking horses!
Maggie went straight for the mud puddles...she was in heaven!
"Hmmm, I am not so sure about this popcorn!"
Kate and Will took a ride on the Santa sleigh. Afterward, Kate asked me "doesn't Santa live in the North Pole? So how come he is here?"
Kate got a lollipop with her sleigh ride.
Will posing with the tree before he tied it to the roof of our car.
Tonight we will decorate the tree and make it all pretty. Hopefully Maggie won't decide it is a fun toy to pull on!
