Tahoe Vacation

This past week we had the joy of spending 4 nights in our Tahoe cabin with family.  The weather was gorgeous, sunny and warm which made for a wonderful trip!

We got to spend a few precious moments with cousin Mckenna.  Unfortunately our time with her was not long enough but at least we got to hold her for a bit.

On our first full day in Tahoe we headed to Baldwin beach.  We ended up spending 4 hours at the beach, digging in the sand, splashing in the cold water and going for boat rides with Daddy.

In the very back of this picture there is an orange speck...that orange speck is Will and Kate in our inflatable boat.  They floated out far!

Kate braved the cold water. Brrr!

  Princess Maggie

Time to bury big sister

Kate and Maggie spent at least 2 hours digging in the sand alone

After the beach we headed to miniature golf.  In retrospect this was probably not the best activity to enjoy after a long day in the sun.  We had a few meltdowns and moments of impatience but we made it through the whole course.  Our scores were pathetic so we didn't even bother to tally the totals.

At the end of golf Kate wanted to do it again!

On our third day in Tahoe we took Gramma and Papa to Baldwin beach.  The setting was just so gorgeous!

Papa and Kate built "mini Tahoe"

Kate was determined to dig up this post.
 It didn't budge!
After the lake we headed to Chevy's for dinner and Maggie had a blast playing with the tortilla dough.

Will and Kate discovered the joy of hopping on rocks to get over the creek.

While hopping, Kate slipped in the water...so much for keeping our shoes dry!
 Heck, let's get all wet!

The swing at the cabin is a favorite place to hang out and relax.

Papa took us on a few short hikes around Hope Valley.  This beautiful creek was one of our stops.

We took another little hike to see more of Hope Valley.  We saw lots of fish swimming in this stream

At the cabin we played lots of games, such as Trouble, and built puzzles when we weren't outside.
Papa was tortured with "Pretty Pretty Princess" jewelry while he was trying to nap.  He was such a good sport about it.

We took Kate to the Heavenly area to try out extreme trampoline jumping.  She loved it and squealed with such glee while jumping.

It was a fantastic trip to Tahoe!  Can't wait for next summer....
